Big and small

In the last few months I have had a lot of commissions to make slippers, big and small.  Here are some photo's of the smallest and the biggest ones I have made.  The smallest were for little babies and the biggest pair was for a man (size 43). They were the third pair of man slippers I have made and I always forget how hard they are to make.  It is much more difficult to get the right shape and colour combinations, because they are so big I need to use 3 balls of wool.    I was asked to make them blue and green,  this is how they turned out.

Slippers, Slippers and more Slippers

Wow its been a long time since I have posted anything.  That is because I have been a busy mummy and I have been busy making slippers.  I have been making them for christmas markets and I have had a couple of orders.  Here are some of then ones that didn't sell.  I have now put them on my Etsy shop.  In the next coming weeks I will be busy making slippers too as a have a few more orders, but I will hopefully have time for posting here as well.

Big Slippers

I was ask to make some big slippers for a friend.  They were not easy to make, especially to make them the same size.  They ended up being a bit big around the top but I think that it makes them more comfortable.

As the slippers are bigger then the ones I usually make I had more space to put flowers and I could not resist making lots of them.

Red Slippers

I was ask to make some slipper for a little girl, I was told that her favourite colour is red and that she defiantly wanted flowers.  I hope now that she will have nice warm toes as the cold, dark, winter evening approach us.

They just fitted my little girl who was not very happy when she had to take them off after the photo shoot.

Crochet Slippers

Here are some little slippers I have made to sell.  They are very warm and cosy, just what is needed to keep little feet away from the cold. I have made them using wool yarn crocheted onto sheepskin soles. The sheepskin soles give the comfort, support and durability that is needed for growing and active feet

I made holes in the sheepskin and then crocheted the yarn through the holes.

Inside the sole is soft and warm so these little slippers can be worn with bear feet.
They Both have a little apple blossom flower on the side.

I am selling them on my Esty shop, here you can take a look
